A Personal Note

Hi All,

You may have noticed that I’ve been a little less consistent recently with these weekly newsletters. This message is my apology for that.

I write each and every one of these newsletters personally.

So, when the kids get sick or I have a dissertation deadline, recently that’s been having more of an impact than I would have hoped.

My goal and my commitment to you is to send these newsletters every week. And in order to do that, I’m having to make some changes.

First & foremost, I always want to keep this newsletter free for all subscribers. In order to do so, you’ll notice as we get into 2025 that the newsletters will start to have sponsors.

(If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor send me a Reply. January is already booked, so I’m currently accepting interest for February and forward).

Secondly, I’m going to have to start charging a fee for my online community.

Don’t worry- if you’re already in the community your access is free. Forever.

And if you haven’t joined yet, you still have time to join for free and enjoy lifetime access, but the time is running out, so sign up now.

I know this letter is different from the ones I usually send, but it was important to me to be transparent with everyone about the changes that are coming up and what will or won’t be impacted.

I’ve dedicated the last 8+ years towards serving international students.

I’m committed to continuing to serve international students moving forward in an even more involved and innovative way.

Believe me, nobody likes change more than me.

I’ve been wrestling with these decisions over the last couple of months, and these solutions are the only ethical solution to making sure that I’m able to continue my mission of helping international students live their American Dream.

Along these lines, I have a humble request.

If I’ve provided some form of value to you through these emails, whether it be through encouragement, tactical guidance, etc., please consider giving me a review.

Your stories and words of encouragement could be a great help to other international students trying to find their way.

My goal is to build the world’s premier online community for international students.

These changes, as odd as they may seem at the moment, will go a long way towards accomplishing that goal.

And your reviews and recommendations will help even more.

I appreciate you all.

I’m honored to get to work with international students every day.

And, to borrow from the incoming president, I have a MANDATE to help all of you…

Live Your American Dream.

Josh
